I always thought that the Walter would look good with a russian iron blue boiler jacket like the C.K. Holiday at Disenyland. A little photo shop and this is what I got.

I just said I couldn't picture it in my mind. Maybe you should give the board a picture to convince them. That way we can all see how good it would look. :D

Walter does looks good with the blue Russia Iron boiler jacket, even though I prefer the red boiler.

To me, Roger just doesn't look right with a cap stack. I actually think Lilly Belle is the one that would look very nice with a cap stack, black with a brass cap.

I always thought the WDW RR engines should vary in their color schemes a little more. I'd like to see the Lilly Belle with some blue on her. And I do not think that Roger and Lilly should have the same stacks. I like how the stacks on the DLRR engines are all different. But the same shaped diamonds on Lilly and Roger make them look too similar sometimes.

Okay played around with the Lilley Belle a little. I darkend the green and red on the engine. I change the boiler to a russian blue and added a cap stack.

Looks good! Although I would've kept the her green the same and I would've made the cap stack longer.

Nice work on the Lilly Belle cap stack!

I gather there is controversy about what new Russia iron looked like, but it certainly didn't have a deep blue color. In fact, I've heard it speculated that the blue tint was merely the reflection of a blue sky on a sunny day. I imagine it as looking close to a bright steel, sprayed with a topcoat of mostly clear candy finish having just a small amount of blue, green or brown in the mix.
