There are some nice photos of her there.
It is a beautiful locomotive, but the beauty is skin deep so to speak.
She needs a lot of work. The new journal brasses for the tender trucks are in the machine shop at the museum. A new grate(s?) for the fire box was cast a while back, as was a firebox door & ring. I watched the machinist make some of the fittings for the injectors - they turned out beautifully.
In others words, don't hold your breath on her running ANYWHERE in the near future...
All she needs is time & money (& sweat, tears, blood, and a few swear words & more money) to be a sweet running loco again. The museum takes donations and they are tax deductible.
Thanks.
