According to the information we have on the tour, it was sent to a salvage yard as scrap metal since it was rusted beyond any reasonable ability to refurbish it. In fact, George Britton told me, that when he tried to tear it down for inspection before attempting rebuilding as he would try to turn a bolt on the left side the vibration would make pieces fall off the right side.

You wouldn't have to apologize if you didn't do it in the first place. With speech, you may have an excuse. With forum postings that you can alter before you hit "submit," you don't get a pass.

And BTW,what the heck is "scarp?"

You're 16 years old now. SIXTEEN. You will be entering college or the work force in two years. You NEED to know how to communicate in written English. Unless your highest ambition in life is to ask others if they want fries with their burger. I can count at least 15 spelling or grammatical errors in your four sentences above.

Please read Rule No. 17 again--the rule you agreed to abide by when you signed up.

Quote:
17. While not an absolute requirement, good spelling and grammar are highly appreciated in these parts. And both qualities also help in conveying whatever it is you are trying to say to other people. This ain't English class, but it is the real world.

I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure Steve didn't want you to think he was mad at you. Just remember as you post here, we (teenagers) are guests to this site- so we need to be sure to follow the rules set down by our "elders." They don't have to let us in here- so the least we can do is show some dignity for our generation and show are best. This is a family board- we are a family, whether we like it or not. If you want to play Wii, go play Wii for the next 10 hours, then, put down the Wiimote and then come here and post one of your "creative" threads. Don't multi-task. I think everyone here would rather have a well thoughtout post than a random rambling any day. :D

And Steve just for the record:
scarp- inner and outer sides of a ditch used in fortifications

...And the inverse of a ditch is a berm, and the trains we love run atop a berm... so back on track!

FreakOuter, don't forget I'm a guest here too!

Matt, I'm not mad at you...merely shocked to see that a 16 year old has such atrocious writing skills. I might suggest a remedial summer English course, and a little less Wii.
