I had a great time, but the discussion on the history of Disney afterward went way long for my family. I was there with my wife, Mom and Dad. My parents aren't quite as mobile as they used to be and all that walking got to my Mom quite a bit (the walking isn't bad for anyone with decent legs but it's really far for someone with walking issues). And people were actually falling asleep by the time we got to the station near the end. It was well over 4 hours total. I could have spent all day listening to it, but my family was actually getitng ready to leave when it wrapped up. The bonus on it was my parents really didn't want their pins, so now I have three of them! My wife said she was keeping hers as "a badge of endurance"...

That is why I go alone, well, that and someone has to watch our kids. My father-in-law did enjoy the tour, including the post-tour talk. I guess it is mostly a guy thing :)

I was actually surprised at how few photos I took (a lot for a “normal” person but not as many as I would normally do in such a case), I think I was focused on the experience. Anyway, I haven’t culled through them all but here are a few I took at the shops:

Nice pictures! Yes, I have noticed that sometimes if I'm really enjoying something, I don't take nearly as many pictures of it.

I remember that I took this tour some years back and I still have my pin that I got when I went on the steam tour. It was a fantastic experince and I want to do it again one day once I go alone to WDW. I think what made my trip speical was that our shop tour train at the begining of the tour was pulled by the #2 Lilly Belle. It was the first time ive ever saw her and seen her operate and experince riding behind her was the momment of the tour I would never forget. Sadly on the return trip, the Lilly Belle had to preform the morning opening the park show, so instead the #4 Roy Disney pulled the return trip back to Main Street. Best momment of my times at Walt Disney World Ever. I cant wait to do it all over again. :)
