At least the NWRR actually tried to look accurate and realistic, unlike the water tower in question.

The WDWRR tower really should be located at the Frontierland station...but there just isn't any room there to place it. The current tower matched the Toontown station, and - as some have suggested, they will probably re-theme the tower to match the new Fantasyland station - which I think is the right thing to do. The tower should match the building...not the WDWRR. In my opinion, a traditional, wooden water tower would be grotesquely out of place next to a Fantasyland themed station.

I see that the old water tower is still there. I hope that they make some improvements to the look of that as well. Not to sound insulting to the WDWRR fans but it looks kind of cheap. Maybe my eyes have been spoiled by the DRR's water tower.

I have always been jealous of the Disneyland water tower, too. It would be nice to see an upgrade here. But because that area will have a circus theme, I don't imagine it will be too much different from how it is now, unfortunately.

The area in front of the station will be circus themed, but the station itself, according to the model at D23, has a very realistic traditional roundhouse feel to it. Its themed as though Casey Jr. has pulled up on a siding from the WDWRR tracks and a circus has been set up in front of the station. Unfortunately the model didn't include the other side of the tracks from the station, so I really don't know what they have in mind.

I like it, as well! It is going to a beautiful station...and I would bet the water tower will be re-themed to match. Just sayin'... 8)

As it should be.

I think this is going to be one of the most detailed stations in a Disney Park in a long time.

It kind of looks like they could be preparing for a "Chuggington" or "ChooChoo Soul" themed area in the future. Disney has gotton on board with some children's railroad shows that are apparantly pretty popular with the little ones.

I don't dislike it, and I think it looks very cool, but it seems odd to me to use a roundhouse facade as a train station. Additionally, from what I can see, the quasi-realistic design does not match the surrounding thematic elements.

Still, it's better than what was there previously.

I don't remember where I first read it, but this has the same info about the Casey Jr. Roundhouse water play area: WDWNT 6/1/11

I wonder if the "cool steam" they mention will be from a fog generator?
