I also grew up going to Great America. I spent most summer days there through most of my adolescence. I rode the train a lot. I am so glad to see that it wasn't scrapped. Glad to hear it will be up and running again soon.

It is so neat to see something that was so much a part of my childhood resurrected. Thanks!

Grew up in Mt. View and had season passes growing up. Nice to see that engine again. I remember being kind of a ### thinking it sucked not being actual steam like Disney Railroad. These days though I'll take anything that resembles a steamer. Great share. Can't believe it has gotten so far away.

Got the railbed all done. Bringing in about 1,000 tons of ballast rock. Once we get a layer of ballast down we will be laying track! WooHoo! (Spiker is on sight too!) Gettin' exciting! Also waiting on all new custom oak to come out of the dryer for the locomotive...
