I haven't been checking the board, but just a quick glance today and didn't see anything about Fullerton RR Days this weekend. If it has been posted already, ignore this.
If not, this weekend, May 7 and 8, we will be taking the SF&DLL Combine car to Fullerton and displaying it with Disneyland's Lilly Belle (Grand Canyon) Coach. Disneyland is also bringing the hand car and display boiler.

It will be the first time these 2 cars have been hooked together as the Combine was the first car and the Lilly Belle was the last.

Hope you all can come out and see it
Bill

Hi folks. Always been a big lurker and am new to the boards. Love all the topics in here.

I believe the fine Carolwood folks will be debuting a new print at Fullerton as well! Thought I'd share a sneak preview...Image

The car is rendered very nicely, but I'm not a fan of the "phineas and ferb" style people.

I agree. Why in the heck can't we just get some nice renderings of the equipment, without Mickey or Goofy or Mater or some other cartoon character in the shot stealing the spotlight??

Sure, the truck is nice...but the locomotive looks like it was painted by my eight-year-old.

Well I think the painting looks pretty good. What better way to paint my two favorite things together. My love of the Trains Walt Loved and my favorite Disney Character Tow Mater.

Mater: GET R DONE, Dad Gum!!!

I wish I had this painting but oh well at least I have this photo

There were some paintings of the combine without any characters in them, I didn't get any pictures of them but I believe Carolwood has them for purchase.

I hosted my own Fullerton Rail Road event at Frontierland Station! The cat attended with great interest and my wiffe rolled her eyes. Also on display were the Kalamazoo Handcar, some rolling stock from the Denver and Rio Grande, U R Daring from BTMRR, an AT-AT, and a San Francisco Cable Car. The USS Enterprise and USS Relaint were a crowd pleaser. A squadron of Colonial Vipers did a fly over, and static displays of the Mark II and Mark VII vipers were on hand as well as the Mark V and Mark VII monorails. The cat was very amused by all the motion and quickly got dizzy once she ingested her catnip, the wife continued to roll her eyes. Bacon and Eggs was served as lite faire, and a pot pie was cooked on the back head of FWRR engine #4.
