Hi....just curious....are there reproduction patches (see below) for the DRR engineer cap. I have a cap but would like a patch sowed on and put it next to my EP Ripley model I'm working on.

Jarenas,

The top hat is a cast-member issued hat, and the lettering is emroidered directly onto the hat.

The second hat was sold in the Park, and might show up from time to time on the Bay. Its "patch" is also embroidered.

This patch is authentic, if you want to spend the money:

Maybe I missed it here somewhere. (if I did please excuse me) what would the approximate cost be? Also are there still engineer repro badges to be had?

All this back and forth between cops and firefighters, tsk tsk. Firefighters have there place in the world...sitting in recliners and watching soap operas.....ha!

I just received my Disneyland railroad pins back from the frame maker. What in the world was I thinking? The fireman's badge looks fantastic with blue text instead of red.

Now I can sit back and enjoy watching them from my recliner chair during soap opera commercials. Cops have their place in the world too... usually parked in front of the local donut shop! :P

Wow, awesome frame job! I'm sure that cost a pretty penny, but they did it right. I't given me some ideas...

Thanks Steve. After all the work Bill put into creating these unique pieces, it wouldn't be right not to display them properly. I'm disappointed; I thought for sure you would mention something about the date on one of the loco pins! Nothing gets past you when it comes to Disney trains.

I met Michael Broggie at the Big Train Show in Ontario, CA a few years ago and asked him to autograph my copy of Walt Disney's Railroad Story. He wouldn't sign it after he noticed it was a first edition but instead offered to buy it from me. He told me that it contained typo errors and mistakes. I couldn't sell it to the legend so instead traded him for an autographed second edition that had fixed all the mistakes. He gave me the pin set and a small statue of Engineer Mickey, too! He offered to exchange the defective pin for one with the correct date but I figured it makes a better conversation piece left as is. He is the original "Most Interesting Man in the World"!

Very nice! Thank's for posting the photo.
Just a note to let you all know that these badges make great Father's Day gifts.
Especially if they are framed like that!
Excellent!

Those pins have been out for a while, and since they're based on the drawings Preston and I did, you can be I noticed the incorrect date on the Gurley pin as soon as I received mine!
