Big Joe and Mike do a nice job of explaining the process of running a DRR steam engine--with some cool things you don't see too often, like the engine getting "on center" and the safeties lifting. But oh man! That rod clank!

There are tender seats on the 4-4-0 locomotives and maybe the Marsh when he returns so One of them has to be on the line. Then you just ask at main street If they are NOT blowing Down, filling water, changing crew or training then they may let you ride the tender seat. It is the Engine Crews choice. You do have to take the grand circle tour, such a hardship.. :D

My son and I actually got to take a ride during a crew change so I guess it depends on their mood.
Both crews could not have been nicer and the second crew was aware of the Carolwood Society as well as I was wearing my Carolwood polo.
