The rear truck wheel will hit the cylinder cock linkage before hitting the crosshead guide. You'll need to adjust your curve accordingly.

Roy,

The linkage and actuator are actually in front of the rear wheel, so as the rear wheel swings it will not hit them.

Preston, That photo is a goldmine! It makes clear so many things, and renders so much useful modeling info, it could be used in a book on modeling DRR nos. 1 and 2, and in a steam locomotive manual. Thanks so much!
