Now that the 5 year long renovation of Disney California Adventure is over, does any one know if Disney is planning to return Disney's Electrical Parade to California. I mean no offense to WDW people but I really miss the parade and want it back at the Disneyland Resort. Does anyone know if its returning.

If it does come back I sure hope that the original soundtrack is returned. When I saw the parade at the Magic Kingdom last fall, they used a re-recorded soundtrack that didn't sound as good to my ears as the one used at Disneyland/California Adventure.

That newer soundtrack was created for the Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights version a few years ago. I have the CD from Tokyo, and it is enjoyable to listen to. But when seeing the classic parade, I would rather have the classic soundtrack to go along with it.

My understanding of the Electric Parade is all the floats were divvied up. WDW got some and the rest went to either Hong Kong or Tokyo. Never to return. I was only disappointed with the tribute to America float at WDW. The eagle looks smaller and the flag much shorter. But who really notices with all those beautiful women in red, white, and blue?

I heard they all went to Orlando as Tokyo has its own parade, the Disney Blog stated that it would be returning after they finish the DCA refurb which will be completed in the coming weeks. DCA needs it back to compliment the Pixar Play Parade or even better, move it across the esplanade back to Disneyland.
