Cool, I can't want to see your completed install. When you test it for the first time, make sure that it's not night time. Your neighbors will appreciate that, trust me.

When they're not covered up by the monorail shrouds, those Grover horns are L-O-U-D, LOUD!

 oh there used to noise believe me! I'm a locomotive horn collector remember!

Awesome! If you don't mine me askin', how much did you have to part with to get it? I am thinking of doing the same, but going with a single 1055 or dual 1055's (mounted on either side of the Jeep!)

I paid $125 for the 1056. if you want dual horns I'd recomend going with a 1055 on one side and a 1054 on the other because if you have two 1055's it will still only sound like one horn because they are playing the same note! so really it would be a waste of money to use 2 1055's. we had a similar thing happen with one of my train horn buddies( warning locomotive horn jargon ahead) He had a Leslie RS-3L(think Santa Fe or Conrail) they are normaly fitted with a #25(long), #31(medium) and #44(short) bell he decided he wanted to make a hybrid horn out of it so he pulled the #31 off and installed another #25 when we honked it, it just sounded like a two chime horn because the two #25's were playing the same note the horn was quickly returned to the original configuration

Ah, I didn't think about that. I may go single 1055 or do the 1056. Now I need to listen to samples heh

Just got my 1056 in today and gave it a test honk on my compressor! boy you'd think there was a monorail overhead! I plan on installing them on my truck on Sunday because I'll be at the NCRY on Saturday.

Well I've got the horn installed in my truck! It's so fun I can't keep my finger off the button! Thanks to my ipod I can play the Disneyland monorail spiel through my stereo which adds to the fun! here's some videos I'll post detailed pictures of the install later!

Onboard with spiel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hbvw4ksUp8g

Shave and a hair cuts with my 1056 and a couple of my Buddy AJ's horns first a street legal United Pacific imitation locomotive horn then the real deal a Nathan Airchime K5LA(same horn used by Amtrak)

Cool! The monorail horn coming from a truck is a lot more appropriate than when it's coming from a Ford Taurus. :D (No offense to my buddy's Taurus, but the horn just doesn't "fit" it at all.)

What size air tank did you end up using and how much "honking time" do you get with it?
