I am going to Walt Disney World the first week of November. I was HOPING to be able to ride the cab of a monorail since I have never done this before. I heard though that cab rides have ended since the fatal accident. Does anyone know if they started these back up yet or if there are any plans to start it back up?

I believe there are plans (the pilots I know want it back), but there is still some things that have to be done before that happens. I can inquire for you and see if they have a date (unless someone else knows more).

I would be surprised if cab rides return to WDW any time soon. My guess is the lawyers won' t let that happen for quite some time.

Monorail cab rides have NOT yet returned. However, I did see Monorail Teal (the new monorail train built out of the two crashed trains, Pink and Purple) out on the beam over the roundhouse as I leaving work today.

I just returned from my trip. They were not allowing cab rides in the Monorails unfortunately but I did see Monorail Teal. Monorail teal made its first public run on Wednesday November 4th on the Magic Kingdom Loop. It looks very similar to Monorail Blue, just a little lighter colored and with the deltas in the stripe.

Going to WDW in September. Anyone hear if the cab rides are back or if they are done indefinitely?
