I have a favor to ask: there is currently an auction on eBay for 9 "original" photos of the Lilly Belle. While I've seen some of these before, a few are new to me. I'm going to attempt to purchase these for use at the Barn or at the new Museum.

So, my favor is to ask my fellow Burnslanders if you would kindly not bid on the auction. I'm not using the CP173 ID for this auction because I forgot I was logged in as the user for my charity work. The item number is 110356304792.

Thank you all for your help!

Best,

Michael

Hey Michael,

I saw those this morning as well on Ebay and almost put a bid on them. Luckily I saw your posting before I placed a bid. I will refrain from bidding since you are trying to get them for the barn or the museum. Good luck hope you win.

Brian

Good think you posted. I saw that earlier and was wating it but I'll leave it for you. It would make another great addition for the barn.

Just curious(I promise I'm not bidding!): don't the original photos shown in the 1970's exhibit still exist? Or is the interest in the exhibit itself?

It appears that some of the photos are of other photos in frames, and I've seen the originals of those. However, there are some close-ups of the Lilly Belle that I have never seen before. It would be very handy to have those for use in the preservation work we're doing.

And then I think they'd look quite nice hanging in the Barn or the Museum, or both!

"Upon further review..."

I've decided I'm not going to go to the wall on this. These are photos of photos that were in the exhibit of the Lilly Belle at WDW. That means that the Company must have those photos somewhere. I'll check at WDI and then the Archives to see if we can get copies of the originals.

The thing that made me back off was that these prints are 3.5" by 5". Not exactly "suitable for framing" size. They're more like, "suitable for being hidden by a cell phone" size.

So, if any of you feel strongly about these, bid away!
