The #1 locomotive was pulling the Retlaw coaches in a you-tube video similar to the Holliday. looks like a good choice.

Okay just a reminder, a few seats are still available both out of Los Angeles and Oakland.

Check the event page for details. http://www.carolwood.org/event.html

Should be a great time with the ride to San Luis Obispo, special guests aboard, the presentation and panel discussion at the hotel, then the trip out to the Ranch for rides aboard the Retlaw 1 consist - especially the combine - a traditional Santa Margarita Tri-Tip BBQ lunch and then the ride home on the Vista Dome coaches.

Oh and don't forget the auction on Saturday night! Some mighty fine Disney railroad items up for bid.

An event likely never to be repeated, that you really won't want to miss...

I posted this as a separate topic on the DRR board, but thought I'd post a link here too:

Wish the Pacific Coast Railroad could some who do this again although this is not likely to happen but still bring both the Combine and the "Lilly Belle aka Grand Canyon" Observation car to have the complete Retlaw 1 Consist but its more likely going to be a pipe dream....

Well, I've learned to "never say never". A full Retlaw 1 reunion is possible as long as all six cars exist. In a 12-month period, the combine was coupled to the Lilly Belle as well as the four passenger cars... just not at the same time. It's not a huge leap of faith to think that the whole train could be reunited someday.

Having said that -- and to quell any rumors that may start -- there are no active plans to do so of which I'm aware.

I'm just a naturally optimistic guy! :D
