LGB Chloe.....

Any ideas on what a used LGB Chloe or NOS LGB Chloe would go for?

I see a few on eBay but the pries seem high, i.e. $300.00.
Thanks,

Tom C

I paid about $250 for a new one about 10 years ago, The LGB bankruptcy, and recovery may cause the prices on the older items to rise, depending on the quality of the new offerings. For now watch Ebay, but a starting price of $300 is not going to attract bidders but I can see the bidding going up to $300.

Thanks Jazz.

I suspect you are right especially for an unused boxed one.

I have both a Chloe and an Olomana, but I bought them both when LGB and Lehmann Patentwerk were going strong so they were both widely available. If you're looking to buy a used Chloe, be aware that both of those little 0-4-2T locomotives have a belt drive that connects the driver wheels' axles together. That is why they have such a nice, low profile gearbox with the prototypical space below the boiler that you can peek through. That belt has been known to wear out, so be aware that a used Chloe, especially one that pulled heavy loads uphill, may need to have that belt replaced.

Hey everyone,

I've been keeping an eye on these through ebay for awhile. I have rarely seen them less than $400.00 on ebay. Anything less, grab it!
