While attending the Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour, the tour was told about Walt's yellow caboose. We were told that there is no known reason why the caboose was yellow, except that Walt wanted it that way. This brought up one question in my mind and that was Ollie Johnston's yellow caboose behind the Marie E.. Not knowing my timelines as well as some other members might, but did either of the yellow cabooses inspire the other to be yellow? Who had a yellow caboose first, Walt or Ollie? Just thought I would ask the question and see if I could start up a conversation about it.

Well according to Wikipedia Ollie Johnston bought Marie E in the 1960's so Walt's caboose came first. If Ollie was inspired by Walt's Yellow caboose Who knows, I'll ask Ollie when I see him next and maybe I'll be able to post the answer if they ever get the internet.
