WOW! those are awesome! please show the locomotives! Are you keeping the arch bar trucks or are you going to put on modern trucks?

The locomotives are in work, as I said before, I have to add the hand rails, injector pipes and other details. they are coming along slowly. The last detail will be the cross head pumps since I have not found a brass detail part or decided to make them.

I will keep the arch bar trucks since I don' want to hunt up other Tyco / Mantua truck to pick up the power for the engines. I kind a like the older style since the Locos have been back dated anyway.

yeah, i was hoping you would keep the arch bar trucks, not sure why the full size locomtives has modern trucks on the tenders. good to hear that the locomotives are coming along.

I think they used the trucks that came on the locomotive tenders from Mexico.

Well there is still a little to do on Walter but it is looking good.

Image

It still needs the pilot braces, sand lines, and the cross head pump. and the flag stands. the others are close needing the injector lines and final assembly and touch up paint.

I entered Walter in my clubs contest last weekend and got a second place, out of two entries. in the steam category

but I entered my slightly altered WDW observation car and it got first place. out if 4 in passenger car class. by my thinking it was the only passenger car because it had seats for tiny butts.

Jazzfan, that is a really nice Walter! I've seen it come up from the beginning, but I never expected it to turn out so well! 8)
