I am in the process of finishing out my On30 CK Holiday. The only decal I need is the headlight graphic. (the deer head) The problem is, all the photos I have found are shot at an angle. Does anyone have a straight on photo or decal ready graphic that they wouldn't mind sharing?

Thanks,
David

If you are in no rush, I will be at the Park next week and can get some photos for you. Just list what you would like in addition to the Elk graphic. And the graphic is a lot different compared to Lilly Belle's Elk.

I've got a high-res printout of the headlight artwork--but I can't remember if they're of the Lilly Belle artwork or the CK's!

I have the LB artwork, but not the CK's. If they're as different as Dennis says, better wait for the photos.

The main difference on the artwork is size. The headlamp on LB has a larger surface area and the painting of the elk looks like the oil painting off Challenge butter. The headlamp on CK has always looked cartoonish to me and it is very narrow. The LB has a Rocky Mt Elk pictured which has a dark head and light body and CK has a Roosevelt Elk which is primarily reddish. The backgrounds are different, too. I am 90% cetrain CK features Mt Shasta in the background.

Even Yosemite Falls is done differently. CK very paint by numberish. LB, like an oil painting. I don't know why Disney did this. Honestly, Ward painted the lamp on Emma Nevada, Walt should have asked him to paint CK as well.

Look in the Disneyland RR stats page on this site and you can see a good 3/4 shot of CK and then look on Daveland at LB headlamp in Main St Station.

I found one side of the head lamp for CK.

I had to get a crewman to take this close up at mainstreet. I'll keep looking for the other side.
