You can use a Life-Like teakettle, like everyone else.

^That's the way I'm going. But I think I'm going to try combining the Life-like Teakettle with the power-truck from a Bachmann cable car. The power-truck looks like it will fit within the tender and then power can be picked up from all of the wheels and I can discard the less than stellar Life-like motor. With this method I hope to model the Kimball, the 2-4-0 Marsh and perhaps one of the Nature's Wonderland locos as well.

The Life-like Teakettle would be ideal for a Marsh....

Anyways, I do agree the videos are too short, I hope to see more of Dave's trains in action!

That looks fantastic Sam. How does it run?

It's a PVC pipe boiler that contains a smaller motor, from a On30 Bachmann porter. That way, the motor is hidden from view, and the boiler is the correct diameter. I'll go into greater detail on this and the overall project in a series in a few weeks.
