For 18 years now our kids program has been allowing children to run G scale trains free of charge that we set up at various locations such as children's homes, schools, public events, train shows, etc. Most everything we use is G scale. The purpose is to educate, have fun and teach train safety. It is also a way to expose youngsters to model railroading. Most of what we have has been donated to our program but I finally have my most desired train. That is the LGB Fred Gurley, 2 open air cars and 6 Disneyland Railroad coaches. I am fascinated with Disneyland Railroad equipment and want to learn more about it so I can share the accurate history with the kids. Once in a while I will allow some kids to operate this train at our events and they love it. It has characters on board as well. Since LGB did not accurately detail the locomotive, I would like to finish off needed detail. As soon as I figure out how to get the photos off photobucket, I will post them and maybe someone can help me with accurate detailing. I also received my sound board back from phoenix and they said there were no problems with it, yet the engine lurches slightly with each chuff and whistle at slow take off speeds. It does not do it with the sound off. Also we are using a Bridgewerks magnum 200 power supply. Through process of elimination we believe it is not the sound system or it's components. Is it possible that the LGB circuit board which is DCC ready could be the cause? I know suggestions were made but I don't know what to try first. I would really like to take photos of this train this summer on some garden layouts and post them, but I need to deal with these two issues first. Any advise appreciated. For those who will be in the Billings, Montana area July 10-12, 2009, we will be set up for thousands of kids to run trains at the Thomas event at the Billings train depot. The real Thomas will be giving rides also and there will be many other family events. Will try to get photos of my train posted as soon as possible. Many thanks to all who have helped and given advise and I hope maybe I can assist someone in the future as well.

Thanks, Ken
