I recently purchased a D23 Mark VII monorail Playset. I got the monorail and started painting the gray stripe on the side. I can't seem to open the lead car though to start my DCC project. I have taken in out all 5 screws and slid a swiss army knife around the edge but it will NOT open. Did anyone else on here have that same problem, I'm rather afraid of using force to open for risk of damaging any of the internal components.

TFN5459,
They use glue to hold the battery contacts in place and sometimes it seeps down onto the top of the motor during assembly. Just apply a good steady force and it'll open up eventually!

(Yes, I'm back from my leave of absence!)

Thanks, I already figured it out a while back, I'm taking measurements to convert it to electrical pick up and to run off DCC power, probably MRC or Digitraxx so my railroad and the monorails can share a control system.
