I just uploaded seven pictures from around the Disney-MGM Studios. These were all taken in April 2004. Yes, I know, that was a while ago. I do still have a bit of a backlog of photos I can post from my past 4 trips. :)

Cool pictures. :)

I always found it kind of funny that there is a huge Fender Stratocaster there in front of Rock n Roller Coaster, but Joe Perry endorses Gibson products and has a signature model Les Paul with his name on it.

"Chris, can you grab my black Les Paul?" Heheheh. I get to listen to that line several times a day when I'm working out there. I had a somewhat frightening woman come up to me when I was working outside in the courtyard area who was very insistent that I suggest Disney officially name the guitar the "StratoCOASTER guitar." I politely smiled and said I would suggest it, but I did slowly back away from her and encouraged her to get in line. And, you know, away from me. :D

While MGM has a mention, I was curious of there were ever plans to have an operating replication of Pacific Electric "Red Cars" at the park. I thought I had seen proposals for a "California-style Trolley System" (I believe that was how it was worded) and way back even some design sketches showing people on a trolley. Now, there's some ornamental rails in the pavement and a kiosk cartoonishly shaped like a Pacific Electric car (and a dummy trolley stop, complete with a map of the real PE system) on the road down to Tower of Terror.

Were there ever any serious plans for such a system? Sure would have been neat. I'm still yet to visit the new outfit in San Pedro as well.
