Did anyone take notice of the recent CPHS event announcement that came via e-mail last week, and the subsequent one?

If so, do you have any thoughts? I'm just curious.

Steve - I assume you are referring to the reference about the cowboy boots. .. Personally, I was surprised at the language, but not offended.

Of course, I did see how it was totally inappropriate for younger readers and probably out-of-line for what some of the more senior readers would tolerate.

Being in the mass communications business, I am well aware that you need to keep thing "rated G"...for all audiences. It also helps in keeping headaches donw!

Well, first I'd love to go to the gathering at the railroad but I am saddly too far away and I no longer own any dreaded Fecal Matter Kickers.

As to the second message, well this alternative lacks the necessary imagery.

Does anyone object to ROAD APPLES??

From what I've heard so far, that seems to be the general consensus. It was my feeling as well.

Forget your mother, what did you think of them?

Well, I'm glad both you and mom got a laugh from them!

Unfortunately some of us received that email at a work account and most large employers scan incoming email for profanity. In this instance it was a compound word so it did not catch it.

This could have resulted in Carolwood.com being blacklisted from email traffic so no future emails would have been received.

I took no offense from the first e-mail. I also laughed at the second. And no, I don't own any boots like that, although I might, occasionally, step into... :(
