Paint is an easy fix, and at the bottom of the priorty list. It's going to get a thorough going through mechanically first.

The first thing that they should do is get rid of that red paint on the truck. Ugh...that looks hideous. :P

It IS Knott's Scary Farm right now. The red paint is horribly, hideously, foul!
LOL

David "Dark Beer" Michael managed to get a picture of Knott's new engine, formally known as WDW Ward Kimball #5 last week...

Looks like work is being done.

The #1 project there at the moment is finishing up the "Chama". I was up there the weekend of March 8-9 . It was sitting in one of the main engine bays, probably having brake work done.

She looks pretty good for having not run in many many years! Here's hoping she gets put back in action sooner than later.

It would have been nice if she had been operational the weekend we were
there. They had just poured some concrete on the Pony Express site, and they were afraid that the C-19's would disturb the set up, so the Galloping Goose was in service.

Looks the same now as when we shipped her out. At least now the bell is on instead of inside the smokebox with the door welded shut, and the number "1" is right side up! :D And the smokebox and stack are painted instead of rusty! :D

Looks like the sheet metal has been taken off the steam dome and the top has been removed. Somebody's been looking at the throttle, et al.
