Come on down to Disneyland and say Hi! To my surprise on 7/30/08 I went in to see my doctor and get x rays and then discuss my final surgery, the connecting of my tendons. Well it turns out that the doc wants to wait a little longer till the surgery, so he asks if I'd like to go back to work? Now my wife and I are both in shock! Now, you have to realize, when the accident happened and I was put back together, the prediction of when I would be able to go back to work was 06/09! So here I am almost a year ahead of schedule. Now I'll only be back for two months at the most and then go out again probably till next year sometime, but getting back to my engines just makes me a happy camper.
So while I'm here, come look me up at the DRR!

Congratulations, that is excellent news. I don't know that I'll be down before you go in for the other surgery but If I do I'll see if your there. Whistle with the jazz band on the Twain, if you get the chance.

Well I haven't updated this post in a while so here is the latest. I went in for my check up with the doctor that would do the tendon surgery. In his opinion, it turns out that I have muscles in my foot that are taking up the slack for the missing tendons! The arch is staying up and not collapsing and he seems to think I might not need the surgery. So he set up another appointment to follow in six weeks and then we'll do an MRI on the leg and if surgery is needed, it will be done around February after the holiday season, so I get to work my favorite time of the year in the park and I'm looking forward to it!
So come on up and say "HI"! I'll be looking forward to meeting you!
And if your not sure who I am, just look for a cute little blond haired, blue eyed Conductor named "Brenda" and ask her who is the "Dog" and she'll point me out!

Great news, Dog! I'll bet you're pleased.

I think that I know who Brenda is. If I start talking to her I may forget to ask about you! :)

I'll see you in early December.
