During a little web surfing I came across this shot that I hadn't seen before:

Neat stuff!

Looks like you can step off a French train, and easily walk up to the gate. 8)

Hong Kong Disneyland is the same way with a train station just a short walk away from the Main Gate. The US Disney theme parks are the only ones in the world that aren't located close to a major rail line.

And its really cheap. I started looking into HKDL ever since the girl brought up the possibility of taking a transfer to Hong Kong. PAP is like $230 and the train from the city is like $3. Score!

Is it within walking distance?

The overseas parks are literally within a few minutes' walk of train stations. They are actually on Disney resort property in some cases.

If you get the chance to go to HKDL, then definitely go! Be sure to take some time to wander around the park and explore the property around the hotels. It is drop dead gorgeous!

As I recall it's about 1.5 miles east of the south east corner of the Disney property.

Tokyo Disneyland Resort has the Maihama station that puts you right onto the property. I believe the "chime" on the platform for the train is "When you wish upon a star". I only heard it once when I was there.
