If the Hornby set has a tender...I may bite....but like the Lego set...no tender gives me a reason NOT to buy....thank goodness!

REMEMBER, John is a train guy and heads may roll if the merchandising people approve something that looks horrible.

The pictures on Amazon which appear to be the contents of an 'actual' set do not include the tender:

Although they could just be photoshopped...

We'll just have to wait and see. Hornby may sell a zillion tenderless train sets - but I kinda doubt it.

Not hard at all. Welcome to British-style OO scale, running on HO scale track.

I probably have a tender in my stash that would work.....but the train in the movie has a tender.....and it would be nice if they spent the few cents to add one to the set. Just seem a half job to do it w/o a tender.

Or, you can convert a Tyco/Mantua 4-6-0, like Jazzfan's WDW Roy O. Disney

Does anyone know how much it is going to be or how I would order one if I would choose to? It looks like a nice 4-4-0! Even without a tender, a tender could be easily made.

Can a Hornby set run on regular american HO track?

Some sellers on Amazon are listing it....start there. And it should run on US HO track as all other Hornby products do...I have a few.
