Hi Folks,

My printer, Lulu.com, notified me that they are offering a 15% discount on the Fort Wilderness Railroad Companion book!

Go to Lulu.com, search for "Fort Wilderness Railroad". Click on the Companion book. On checkout, use coupon NEWREAD305. The offer is good through Sept. 15th....

If you were thinking about purchasing the Companion, this could help.

Thanks!!
David

Wow! Here I thought the coupon would never happen ;) I'm passing this one onto my wife, but all stealth like. You know, putting this post in between the pages of one of her magazines...

I received my books today. While I've only scanned over them, they have plenty of great pictures and very interesting information. David has answered a lot of questions that have bugged me for years about the FWRR. As many know I've done my own research on the FWRR over the years. I've shared what I could with David for the book (my time is so limited these days) and it appears David took it to the next level. Great Job David!!

And a big Amen for David's help. Without his help, the book would have been "a lot thinner"!

Thanks, Dave!

I was finally able to sit down and do some reading this weekend. I'm just over halfway through the first book. Although my first trip to Disney World was shortly after the railroad had finished running, I feel like I have a very good understanding of it from an inside point of view even though I never saw it first hand. Disney does not always touch on what other people think are important so it was great to see that many of the people involved with it got together to help David tell this story. These books will make a great companion to the engines and coaches that I just ordered. Can't wait to read any future releases of his on the Disney railroads.

Just got my book today. I had made several trips to WDW when this railroad was in operation, but I never got to experience the FWRR. I always wanted to know more about this railroad and now this book has come along and provided a wonderful experience. All I can say is FANTASTIC!!! Thanks David for your time and effort in putting this together. I can't wait to see what you do with the WDWRR!

Thanks, Tommy!

We can thank Tommy for putting me on the trail to find the wonderful B&W photos taken by Wilbur T. Golson! Wilbur passed away some time ago, but, with some digging, I found that Mr. Louis Saillard had bought his negatives and the rights. I did check with Wilbur's family, and they graciously agreed with their appearance in the book as well.

:D

I was just about to post a link to the review, but I see that Steve D. beat me to it. It's a good review, and it makes me want to order the books even more.
