You know, if they're simply going to build an entirely new locomotive, they should time it so they can keep the old one in service until the new one is ready.

Obviously, Roy, they are not building an entirely new locomotive.

Of course not. It would take much less time, and make much more sense. But sending the Marshes parts, one at a time, by slow junk to Madagascar, then training local lemurs to do the renovation work, is not particularly time efficient.

You...don't know much about real steam engines and what it takes to rebuild them...do you?

(Hint: there's no "Autozone" for steam engines.)

One would think it would be far faster for someone with--oh, say, your skills--to complete a model of a steam engine. Just sayin.'

And as the big BM could tell you, there is a lot of wrangling with the Yellow Building working out the designs and how they would like things done. It can be and is quite time consuming. But isn't Hillcrest the same company that did the Marie E? If so, they did an excellent job on her and I am looking forward to see how they do on the Marsh!!!

They don't mention that on their website.

As long as the job is done right, I'm not fussy about how long it takes to complete DRR Engine 4. I tend to be a patient guy though.

Then it would be quite a claim to say such in a public forum. I'm sure that it was tongue in cheek though.
