Wow, nice photos!

The station is drop dead gorgeous, but ugh...what is that funky water tower still doing there?

Well...can't have everything.

They should update that WDW RR poster at Main Street to include Fantasyland...

Don't think those new plants next to the engine will last very long if they keep getting sprayed with hot steam everyday.

I hate the water tower! They couldn't come up with something more fitting to the new theme of the station.

Hot steam from the cylinder cocks hasn't killed off the blasted hedge next to the tracks of the DRR's Main Street Station. It has been growing just fine for decades, unfortunately.

It sure would be nice to see some wheels there, like in the old days.

Beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing.

As for the water tower, I can't remember which thread...but I thought someone posted plans that showed the water tower and the maintenance shed were supposed to get a matching look to the new station. Let's hope that is still going to happen...

Well, in regards to the water tower and other structures, it's kinda hard to redo them when they are in use, especially the tower, at least until the railroad goes down for rehab. Besides, the project as a whole (Fantasyland) is still in progress, so things will be added later for sure.

By the time the steam hits the plants, it's not really all that hot.

My family and I visited the Magic Kingdom last week. We missed the opening of the depot by one day. It is a beautiful building, and a fine addition to the railroad. My 22 month old took his first ride on the WDWRR. We rode behind the Walter E. Disney. Our engineer was a young fellow named Mike. I asked him if he was a Burnsland member, but he didn't know what I was talking about. I still miss the "Rollin on the express" music. Great time, wish I could have taken the behind the scenes tour. Maybe next time!
