Me too. Seems it would be an instant sell out!!!!
For paints I try to stick with Tamiya, but I did have to think outside the box on this one. The boiler jacket is a gunmetal (as dark/black as I could find) The smokebox and tender wheel frames were a metallic light bluish gray. Both of these were rattle cans made by Model Master. Both were Laquer based. I will try to get those paint colors for you when I'm in my shop again.
I did use Tamiya gray primer for the entire thing.
The red and green on LB was Pactra rattle can laquer. The green was a really fine metallic emerald green color and the red was a gloss red (non metallic).
The black was Model Master semi gloss black for the headlamp bracket/stack and pilot braces, gloss black for the tender.
I matched my decals as I created them.......to the colors they were applied on or were supposed to match.
