Ok,

I feel down right silly. I ordered, converted, and gave my dad a Lilly Belle in under 2 weeks, and I am still working on my own!

I finally found someone to make the interior roof graphic. Now I am waiting to see how the test set turns out after several weeks of being applied to wood with various depths of lacquer applied. I don't want to put the lid back on only to have the issue Dave did with the wood absorbing the decal.

I have also figured on the valance system and curtain hanging whcih was a major hold up for me to apply the interior wood to the walls. My last item, before continuing is I need a set of nice looking marker lamps. Any suggestions, and I want them to light up.

I used Clare-Bell

Can't wait to see you pictures. I still have in the back of my mind to build a scaled replica of Lilly Belle as a 'sister' to Grand Canyon. The second go round I might steal some of your techniques.

Dave,

Thank you. Clare-Bell has really nice products. I already see a 1/2inch goose neck to use on the wall and I have my scones for the back door. I also see 2 nice vases, a table quill for the guest book and a nice spitoon. I don't see the extrior coach lights though. Do they no longer produce them or were those from a different company.

You may "steal" whatever ideas and concepts you like, amigo. I am flattered by your praise.

The coach lights I used were from Ozark Miniatures. They don't really match the prototype and I could never get them to mount nicely. They kind of droop being mostly held in place by the electrical wires for the bulb.

Not certain, but Precision Scale Co. might have them. Also, you might try G gauge locomotive manufacturers, such as Accucraft. Or, G gauge parts on ebay.
