I starting to wonder if the Gurley still has it's originally boiler because that would be something! The Ripley got a new boiler sometime in the 90's if I remember correctly, with the mismatched running boards?

No. As Marky pointed out earlier in this thread, the Holliday is the only DRR engine still using its original boiler.

More on the Gurley boiler here:

The Gurley should be on at least boiler #3, it's possible that it could be # 4 as it was not uncommon for these locomotives to have been reboilered. I don't recall a reference to that fact in the Butler book however. They were stock catalog engines and the owners could order replacement boilers by simply telegraphing Baldwin.

It appears the Marsh is back at the park as of today. I only saw them testing it once around the park before opening by itself, Sorry no pics, but looked great. Only thing was the whistle sounded a little off from last time it ran, maybe it will be fixed before it goes back into service.

Were you able to see if the tender seat was installed?

That's slightly odd because when I asked on August 12, they said the Marsh was behind schedule and had been pushed back to October.

Maybe they were talking about when Marsh would start pulling passengers again.
