Does anyone know if Knotts Beery Farm does engine house tours or anything special with the trains?

We took one maybe 15 years ago (their 50th anniversary? 2001). It was fun. Got to go through one of their private cars (Edna?). Don't know if they still do it.

I heard you can ask a railroad cast member and they may be able to give you a tour. I haven't been in the roundhouse for over 15 years myself. I always went before the park opened with railroad cast member family friends

When we went to Knott's last year, I was asking the conductor a ton of questions. When the train pulled in he introduced me to the engine crew. We talked for a bit while the train took on passengers. As they were getting ready to leave, the engineer invited into the cab for a lap around the Park. They did the same for me at Christmas time with the Goose.

never asked to go to the roundhouse, but now I may.

They got rid of cab rides last year I know that. A cedar fairs lawyer put that into effect. I used to get them at a young age and my dad got a cow catcher ride once around the park but those where in the days the Knotts family owned the park

There is a gentleman over at the Narrow Gauge Discussion Forum that posts from time to time about events on the Knott's railroad. You might reach out to him for advice.

I think you are talking about Jeff Taylor and he left Knotts for D&S

They usually do them for special events.

I got to do one with Theme Park Review a few years ago, for their West Coast Bash. I think it's still an annual event, which is now in September. Might want to check them out.
