So I stopped by Orange Empire today, and it seems that this may not be happening after all. The idea was to get Chloe shipped out to get a refresh and return to operation for a spring steam event with the Gurley's sister engine but plans fell through it seems due to weather. The shop that was supposed to overhaul the Chloe (not 100 percent, but I'm fairly certain it was Hillcrest) has been flooded. As a result Chloe is still sitting inside the Carhouse at the OERM and what it sounds like is the event isn't happening at the earliest till Fall and new arrangements have to be made.

I don't think the engine is their's, so I don't know if they have access to it. When I last spoke with the volunteers at the narrow gauge barn, they had no information regarding the engine and didn't even know it was coming to Orange Empire. All they knew was that the work on the Chloe was delayed and the steam up event would not occur till the Fall at the earliest. If someone has access to Hillcrest or wherever that engine may be, it probably is a more direct and surefire way of getting a photo of the builder's plate.

Whomever snapped the photo and posted it on that Orange Empire FB page, I asked them to take a photo of the builder's plate.

From the pics OERM put up on their steam FB page it looks like Fred's sister builder number 14064, that was at a car museum in Oxnard, Ca. Here is a pic of it in the car museum. http://steamlocomotive.com/misc/images/ ... e=bpr1.jpg

This loco was also at the Illinois Railway Museum for a bit in the 80's, it came from the Marriott Corp/6 flags. Since IRM had no need for narrow gauge locomotives all were sold/donated off. Here's a pic of the loco when it was at IRM. Its come a long way. https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MpqNnEvX6r4/ ... 00/003.JPG
